1. Short Description

Zon-243 is the stable rotating black hole at the center of the Batantt System, used as one of the earliest major sites for conservation-ring infrastructure and deep relativistic storage.

3. Content

Zon-243 is the central black hole of the Batantt System.

It was one of the main reasons Batantt was selected for early IG-Bridge integration. The system's massive belts made Batantt valuable as an extraction target, but Zon-243 made it civilizationally unique. Its gravitational depth, stability, and rotation allowed it to become a foundation for conservation-ring infrastructure, relativistic storage, deep orbital vaults, BRCT calibration, Penrose-process energy extraction, and black-hole engineering.

Zon-243 was not treated as a mere hazard. To the early posthuman civilization, it was a preservation engine made from spacetime. Conservation-ring infrastructure around it began as orbital swarms: vaults, archival modules, relay stations, shielding platforms, custodial stations, docking points, maintenance bodies, BRCT instruments, and traffic-control systems arranged at different depths in the gravitational well.

The deeper the layer, the stronger the preservation effect and the higher the retrieval cost. Inner layers preserved information more aggressively against external history, while outer layers remained easier to access and maintain. This made Zon-243 an early laboratory for the practical compromise that later defined relativistic storage: memory could be protected by lowering it into places where time passed differently.

By the time of the Infernal Wars, more than ten thousand stations orbited around Zon-243. Some were automatic or nearly automatic infrastructure: radiators, Penrose-energy stations, storage nodes, processors, defense shells, traffic platforms, and maintenance systems. Others were inhabited by conscious robotic bodies or hosted computational populations. Some stations were large enough to resemble small moons.

Zon-243 therefore became more than an astronomical object. It became the center of a black-hole orbital civilization: part archive, part industrial remnant, part energy site, part research complex, part habitat ecology, and part temporal infrastructure.

4. Reason For The Name

Zon-243 is an old technical designation preserved in the historical record. Its exact naming origin is uncertain, but it belongs to the early classification layer used for major black-hole infrastructure sites.

5. Other Names

The Batantt black hole.

6. Population

Zon-243 itself has no biological population. Its orbital infrastructure, however, historically contained automatic stations, conscious robotic bodies, hosted computational populations, archive custodians, maintenance systems, research entities, and conservation-ring workers.
