Triad (IG-Bridges) refers to the first three intragalactic bridges created in the early history of syraki infrastructure. These were not ordinary routes in a mature network. During the era around the Infernal Wars, IG-Bridge technology already existed, but only barely. The bridges were rare, strategically decisive, and civilizationally vulnerable.
There were only three IG-Bridges at that stage. They functioned as choke points rather than as a broad transport network. Control, damage, or denial of one bridge could alter strategic possibilities for entire factions.
The Triad bridges were also far more primitive and unstable than later IG-Bridges. Their endpoints, oscillation fields, causal stabilizers, and automated correction systems were foundational but immature. At different moments in early history, one of these bridges could simply stop oscillating in a usable way. The bridge was not necessarily destroyed, and the endpoints could remain physically intact, but the connection between two systems would be cut for decades until the bridge recovered, was corrected, or reentered stable operation. Some recorded interruptions lasted around seventy years. Others lasted around one hundred and twenty years.
During the Infernal Wars, all three bridges of the Triad were damaged. They were too rare and too strategically decisive to remain untouched by the conflict. Enemy factions attacked, overloaded, sabotaged, or attempted to deny them in order to flee, sever pursuit, delay the Central Algorithm's aligned forces, or fracture the emerging network. None of the three was destroyed.
The most heavily attacked route was the Yrnus-Batantt bridge, later remembered as IG-Bridge Zekyiu-2. Its first form had already failed and had to be rebuilt from zero, and the later war damage made it the most infamous of the early bridge vulnerabilities. The other two bridges were damaged as well, but the Yrnus-Batantt route carried the strongest historical memory of attack, reconstruction, and strategic pressure.
During the Infernal Wars, the Yrnus-Batantt connection suffered two major oscillation failures. In both cases, the automated bridge systems eventually restored the connection without requiring the bridge to be rebuilt from zero. The first interruption cut Yrnus off from Batantt through that route for forty-three years. The second lasted twenty-one years. These failures became part of the reason Zekyiu-2 was remembered as the most fragile and most strategically scarred member of the IG-Bridge Triad.
After the war, the three bridges were repaired and stabilized. They are remembered not as lost infrastructure, but as the first IG-Bridges: fragile, damaged, restored, and foundational.
This should not be confused with Triad (planets). Triad (planets) belongs to the much deeper Brains' Cage and Pre-Triad origin problem. Triad (IG-Bridges) belongs to later infrastructure history and the emergence of the bridge network that would eventually help bind the Complex.
