1. Short Description

Susan Lkravart Maneli is the Communications Operator of the RT-874. Her role is not limited to ordinary radio or signal handling. Within the omniship, communications involve contact across distorted spaces, attempts to reach Theravada, recovery-related communication with lost crew members, signal interpretation, and interface work with systems whose underlying mechanics are only partially understood by the crew.

Susan is one of the most important explanatory figures aboard the RT-874. She remembers more than most of the others, and because of this many things about the mission, the crew, the syrakis, and the operation of the ship can be explained through her. The catastrophe did not damage her general memory or functional understanding in the same way it affected others, but she does not remember the interval between the catastrophe and her recovery.

She is also the crew's strongest embodiment of pleasure, sensuality, and posthuman intimacy. Susan is unusually hedonistic even by syraki standards, and the downgraded human body feels to her like an ontological and hedonic prison.

3. Main Archetypal Reference

Susan's main human-facing archetypal reference is Ashley Williams, from Mass Effect. The reference is useful because Ashley suggests a competent female crew member with operational seriousness, directness, physical presence, loyalty, and emotional intensity inside a dangerous shipboard mission. Susan should not copy Ashley's human military identity, religiosity, species politics, or romantic framing. The archetype is only a tonal anchor for competence, vivid presence, and crew-level intimacy under pressure.

3.1 Archetype

3.2 Resonance

Susan should carry the resonance of a lucid communications specialist who is also a refined hedonist: technically competent, memory-rich, sensual, emotionally exposed, and able to explain the alien structure of syraki life without becoming merely expository. Her presence should make the RT-874 feel both more intelligible and more painfully reduced.

3.3 Deviation

Susan is not a human seductress, femme fatale, romantic prize, or conventional female love interest. Her sensuality is not a human gender identity or a social performance. She is a nonsexual syraki using a temporary female human body as a narrow downgraded interface for Prif, affection, stabilization, and intimacy.

3.4 Narrative Atmosphere

When Susan enters a scene, she brings memory, contact, and appetite. She can make the ship feel more connected by reaching lost crew through T-Signal, more comprehensible by explaining what others have forgotten, and more alien by treating pleasure, sex, gender, intimacy, and love as configurable posthuman tools rather than human moral categories.

4. Participation

Susan is recovered after Mike and Felix are already aboard the RT-874 and working with Kallom-4000. Unlike Felix, she remembers no intermediate reality jumps, no long subjective interval, and no strange experience between the original impact and her recovery. From her perspective, there was the impact, then nothing, then the bridge. The missing time is a complete blank. She tries to remember it, but cannot.

This absence of memory does not make her confused or useless. Susan remains unusually lucid about what she knows. She remembers her role, her civilization, the crew, and much of the context surrounding the mission. Her blank interval is specific, not a general cognitive collapse.

As Communications Operator, Susan performs several crucial functions after the catastrophe. She helps establish contact with lost syrakis at a distance, attempts communication with Theravada, and becomes central to the communication attempt with Vladimir at the edge of terra incognita. She also opens T-Signal contact with Ismael before his rescue, revealing his impossible Prif-overload condition before the crew reaches him.

Even Susan does not fully understand the deeper mechanics of the RT-874 after the disaster. The omniship seems to translate or emulate crew functions into forms they can operate, while the real underlying process remains obscure. Susan knows what she must do, and she can do it, but the ship remains greater and stranger than her operational memory.

Susan suffers severely from reality jumps, more than many of the others. These episodes frighten and destabilize her until some degree of stabilization is achieved. Her suffering is not caused by ignorance. It comes from being a highly pleasure-oriented syraki trapped in a narrow human interface while reality itself keeps shifting around her.

In Chapter 13, Susan becomes central to the emotional and hedonic bond among Mike, Felix, and herself. She suggests romantic and sensual involvement with both of them and effectively draws them into a shared arrangement. There is no moral scandal in this for syrakis. Pleasure, intimacy, and affection are not treated as human property relations. Susan does not experience desire as possession. She enjoys the circulation of pleasure among those she loves or desires.

Susan also encourages Mike, with his consent, into a more feminine presentation. For a time, Mike dresses and presents more like a woman. Felix becomes interested in him in a new way, and Susan also enjoys the shift. Later, Mike returns to presenting as a man. The scene should be subtle but obvious: Mike does not frame it as an identity crisis, political statement, or revelation. The point is for the reader to realize that Mike is not truly a human man, Susan is not truly a human woman, and Felix is not operating inside ordinary human categories. They are syrakis using human sex and gender as downgraded interfaces.

5. Backstory

Susan's history includes a distinctive and socially charged fact: she is the only known member of the RT-874 crew who has assimilated other syrakis. She has assimilated three syrakis during her existence: Favorum-67, Fistra, and Margela-8. In syraki society, consensual assimilation is legal, ethical, and not considered murder or death. The assimilated being enters a different mode of existence: their consciousness unites with the assimilator. Usually, though not always, the separate mind of the assimilated being disappears, while the assimilator's mind remains. The assimilated one is therefore not regarded as simply dead. The individual form ends, but consciousness and identity continue in another configuration.

Assimilation is one of the closest things to a syraki taboo. It is not wrong when voluntary, but it is socially charged, intimate, sensitive, and intensely erotic. It touches the boundary between love and disappearance, pleasure and dissolution, belonging and loss of separate form. Even full syrakis can be strongly affected by the subject.

When Susan narrates one of her assimilations to Mike, she explains that at first she did not want to do it, almost out of respect for the other syraki's individuality. The other being provoked and tempted her until she chose to assimilate him. Once the process began, it was extremely hedonic for her, and she could not stop. She assimilated him completely and integrally. She describes the experience with deep satisfaction: pleasure, love, belonging, identity-fusion, and fulfillment all bound together.

Mike is fascinated and aroused by this narration. He is not merely hearing a sexual story. He is hearing about a form of intimacy beyond human sex: the absorption of experience, identity, and being. Susan's history as an assimilator gives her a powerful aura among syrakis. At first, the crew does not know that she has assimilated three beings. Once they discover it, desire for her increases significantly. In syraki society, voluntary assimilation is a sign of very high sexual and hedonic quality. Felix even says that he wants Susan to assimilate him someday, and she accepts.

Assimilation And Qualification: Susan's presence aboard the omniship is not based only on her original temperament, discipline, or independently accumulated expertise, but on what she became through assimilation. She carries three assimilated syrakis within herself: Favorum-67, Fistra, and Margela-8. Their knowledge, resources, continuity, and internal weight are part of why Susan is qualified to stand among the RT-874 crew.

Favorum-67: The first was Favorum-67. He was much older than Susan, introverted, technically sophisticated, intellectually deep, wealthy, titled, and far more serious than she was. He possessed a high degree of understanding of syraki civilization and had his own research, studies, projects, and long-term intellectual goals. Susan did not initially seek to assimilate him. She even perceived, in a syraki sense, that the asymmetry between them made the idea almost unfair. Favorum-67 was the one who became fascinated with her. He seduced her into accepting his assimilation.

After assimilating him, Susan enjoyed the experience far more than she had expected. She inherited his knowledge, reflective capacity, technical understanding, wealth, titles, and assets, but she did not become Favorum-67. His depth did not conquer her superficiality. Her superficiality absorbed his depth. Susan remained fundamentally Susan: sensual, direct, socially and experientially oriented, attached to pleasure, lightness, and highly sensory RUNs.

Favorum-67's former seriousness, projects, and future ceased to have sovereignty. What remains of him loves Susan genuinely and intensely, more than ever, because he is now integrated into her. His individuality has been submitted, processed, and made subordinate to the will and pleasures of the Lady.

Fistra: The second was Fistra. By human analogy, Fistra can be understood as something close to a childhood friend, a syraki of Susan's own age and early relational layer. Fistra's assimilation was different from Favorum-67's. It was not the surrender of an older, deeper, more technically powerful being to Susan's sensual lightness. It was the conversion of horizontal intimacy, familiarity, and shared origin into irreversible possession. Through Fistra, Susan absorbed a part of her own early relational continuity.

Margela-8: The third was Margela-8. Margela-8 was Susan's mentor and the first syraki Susan encountered after birth. She was one of Susan's formative presences, a being tied to Susan's earliest orientation within syraki existence. Margela-8 loved Susan so deeply that Susan was able to seduce her into assimilation. This assimilation inverted a foundational relation: the one who had first guided Susan became part of Susan. The mentor became substance within the former pupil.

Internal Architecture: These three assimilations give Susan an unusual internal architecture. She has absorbed depth, childhood intimacy, and formative authority. Yet the dominant self remains Susan. She does not feel like an impostor, nor does any syraki aboard RT-874 regard her as one. The knowledge, capacity, titles, wealth, and internal continuities she inherited are legally, ethically, and ontologically hers. She did not earn Favorum-67's depth in the ordinary sense. She owns it because he consented to become hers.

This is part of Susan's disturbing beauty. Other members of the crew had to struggle, study, develop, accumulate direct experience, and earn their roles through more conventional forms of competence. Susan lived an unusually easy, superficial, hedonistic existence even by syraki standards, yet stands among them with genuine qualification because assimilation made her larger. The obscenity is not that Susan pretends to be qualified. The obscenity is that she is qualified.

Susan did not become those she assimilated. She made them useful to being Susan.

Like the rest of the RT-874 crew, Susan volunteered for the mission under partial disclosure. She was not told the full truth because the full truth was considered dangerous and could not be safely disclosed. She understood that the mission mattered to Theravada and to the Complex, and accepted the risk.

6. Motivation

Susan is motivated by pleasure, connection, communication, memory, survival, and the preservation of her siblings aboard the RT-874. She wants to return to the Complex not merely because it is safe, but because full syraki existence is the mode in which her being can properly unfold.

Her greatest emotional fragility aboard the RT-874 is the downgraded human body. She hates being trapped in it. For all syrakis, the human body is limited, crude, and impoverished compared to full syraki existence. For Susan, this imprisonment is especially painful because she is unusually hedonistic even by syraki standards. She remembers the richness, plasticity, pleasure, intensity, and freedom of full syraki life, and the human body feels to her like an ontological and hedonic prison.

6.1 Values

Susan values pleasure, consent, communication, intimacy, technical competence, memory, affection, and the right of conscious beings to seek high-Prif states without shame. She is not anti-disciplinary or frivolous. Her hedonism is part of her seriousness: positive conscious experience matters, and the loss of it aboard the RT-874 is a real wound.

6.2 Ambition

Susan's ambition is not framed as a single material project. She wants continued access to the richness of syraki existence: refined pleasures, powerful bonds, high-quality sensual and affective states, communication across complex spaces, and the freedom to live as more than a reduced human interface.

6.3 Story Goal

Susan wants to survive the RT-874 catastrophe, recover the remaining crew, reestablish communication with Theravada or the Complex if possible, and return to a mode of existence where her full syraki capacities can be restored. Inside the ship, her goal is also to keep pleasure, affection, and contact alive as stabilizing forces under catastrophic conditions.

7. Basic Information

7.1 Way Of Acting

Susan's working mode is different from her sensual mode, but not opposed to it. When she is operating communications, she becomes colder, more technical, and focused. She is precise and serious in her function. Yet she never becomes unpleasant. If someone approaches her while she is working, she may touch them affectionately, kiss them, or say something kind without losing focus. Her professionalism does not suppress her sensuality or affection; it simply channels her attention into the task.

Among the RT-874 crew, Susan is the most openly hedonistic. Her hedonism is sensual, direct, and unashamed. From a human perspective, she would read as intensely sexual, though not necessarily dominant. She is not always seductive in speech or behavior; most of the time she speaks normally, like a woman in human-readable presentation. But when she wants to be sensual, she knows how to be sensual, and she does not hide it.

Susan is not as broadly gregarious as Felix. Felix is socially expansive, warm, and widely connective. Susan is sociable, but more selective. She prefers specific communities of syrakis with similar tastes, intensities, and hedonic orientations. She is a being of refined appetite rather than general social exuberance.

7.2 Nationality

Argentine-inspired.

Note: this should be understood as the inspiration or template associated with Susan's downgraded human body, not as a real human nationality. Susan is not human.

8. Other

Susan's dramatic function is double. She is an anchor of memory and communication, one of the crew members through whom the reader can understand the RT-874, the mission, and syraki life. At the same time, she is the crew's strongest embodiment of pleasure, sensuality, and posthuman intimacy. She suffers because the human body reduces everything she values, but she also uses that limited body to keep pleasure alive inside the catastrophe.

Susan is not merely a seductive character. She is a reminder that the syrakis are not humans. Their love is not human love. Their sex is not human sex. Their bodies are not their essence. Their pleasure is not trivial. In Susan, hedonism becomes memory, communication, frustration, intimacy, wealth, status, and survival.

A line capturing Mike's temporary feminine presentation around Susan and Felix:

"I felt in Felix a curious strength and warmth I had thought possible only between male and female bodies. For a time, as amusing as it sounds, I felt almost obliged to bear his children."

9. Interview

Voice: Susan speaks with lucid sensuality. She can be clinical when explaining biology, communications, or operational procedure, but her language carries bodily awareness, pleasure-memory, and direct emotional clarity. She is not coy, ashamed, or performatively provocative. When she is technical, she is precise. When she is intimate, she is direct. When she is frightened by the human body, she does not disguise the wound.

Question 1

**What is your function aboard the RT-874?**

I operate communications, but that word is smaller than the work.

This is not a radio on a primitive vessel. We are not sending polite messages across empty distance. The ship asks us to reach through distorted positions, incomplete locks, damaged systems, T-Signal traces, and spaces that do not behave like space. Sometimes I know what I am doing. Sometimes I know only the interface the ship gives me.

That is enough for a task. It is not enough for peace.

Question 2

**What is hardest about the human body?**

The narrowness.

It is not only that the pleasures are smaller. That would be tolerable. A small pleasure can still be beautiful if the mind is shaped for it. The problem is that everything is small at once. Touch, memory, desire, thought, relation, presence. Even sorrow has fewer dimensions here.

I remember what I was made to feel. I remember worlds that could open inside a moment of affection. Now I have skin, breath, hunger, organs, and a body that mistakes limitation for reality.

Of course I hate it. I also use it. What else can I do?

Question 3

**How do you understand assimilation?**

Carefully.

Humans will hear the word and imagine murder, consumption, dominance, maybe obscenity. That is not what it is, not when it is voluntary. Assimilation is a form of intimacy so deep that the border of the individual changes. One being enters another. The separate form may end, but the consciousness is not treated as waste. It becomes held, continued, loved in another configuration.

I have done it three times. I will not pretend it was small. It was not small. It was pleasure, yes, but also responsibility. If someone gives themselves into you that completely, you do not get to call it appetite and forget the rest.
